The Juvenile Justice Center (JJC) is the central location of the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department's administrative offices and Intake Court Services. It also houses the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC), which is designated as the primary detention facility for juveniles in Harris County who are referred for delinquent conduct. Several agencies involved in the administration of juvenile justice are located in the JJC; including the
Juvenile District Courts, the District Attorney's Office Juvenile Section, the
District Clerk Juvenile Section, and the
CPS Project Court.

The Juvenile Justice Center does not have visitor parking. City of Houston paid metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the building. The Harris County Youth Services Center
The Youth Services Center (YSC) serves as a 24-hour intake center for youth, ages 10 to 17, who are referred for status offenses such as runaway, truancy and curfew violations, or Class C Misdemeanors, and those who are in need of crisis intervention.
