Public Participation
Members of the public may make comments during meetings by:
- Signing up to speak at the meeting location before 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
- Signing up to speak online by completing the form below and submitting it one hour before the commencement of the meeting. Once you have filled in the required information, be sure to click the submit button.
If interpretation services are needed, members of the public must sign up online at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting to provide sufficient time for the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department to arrange these services.
Each member of the public who appears before the Board to speak about a topic is limited to one (1) minute to make his or her remarks. Speakers can be given additional time to complete their remarks upon approval of a motion by the Board for an additional minute of time. Speakers are limited to a maximum of three extensions of time.
A member of the public who addresses the Board through an interpreter or who requires assistance shall be given at least twice the amount of time as a member of the public who does not require the assistance of an interpreter. Only the time during which the member of the public (rather than the interpreter) is speaking should be counted toward the member of the public’s speaking time limit.
